MY REVIEW:
I say this a lot, but it needs saying again.... it's always a delight when Vi Keeland has a new book. She is hands down one of my favorite romance authors ever, and I just know that when it comes to her new releases, its going to be a guaranteed read that I will love. This book did not disappoint.

Right off the bat, I was so intrigued with the female lead, Stella, who crashes a wedding with her best friend, and meets a handsome stranger named Hudson. Things escalate and it doesn't seem these two will cross-paths again, but the end up seeing each other again. I love the working/close quarters trope, and in this case, Hudson's company takes on Stella's start-up as a business partner and they start working together. Both have been burned by past relationships, and so Stella is definitely reluctant to start something despite their shared interests. I really liked how it was a slow-burn in some ways with their intense chemistry and flirty banter. Keeland is just so good at the flirty banter!

I don't want to say too much about the plot because it's really great - but I think this may be one if not my favorite read from her yet simply because of how the plot moved, and then the climax of the story. I am a huge fan when the conflict of the story is not necessarily another person or a past-lover. I feel like that's often a popular choice, but what Keeland accomplished here is showing that Stella and Hudson had such a healthy relationship. They were so open with one another and letting each other know their comfort levels with things. I really appreciated that honesty and growth from both of them. When the conflict did arise, it didn't necessarily rip them apart but was a conflict for them to work out with one another.

All in all, if you are looking for a great contemporary romance that takes place in New York between a perfumist/start-up & a financial partner, with great chemistry and suuuper fun banter, this is definitely the read for you!

Also side note, I really loved the side characters of Fisher & Olivia. They were both so supportive of Stella and Hudson and that just made my heart so happy.

MY RATING OF THE BOOK: ✮✮✮✮✮ - 5/5 stars
