So you were most likely wondering what happened to all of the update posts suddenly.. Unfortunately things came up last week and I had a pretty busy week that I just could not set aside time for leisure reading. I ended up only finishing one book by Rick Riordan, the first one in the Heroes of Olympus series, The Lost Hero, which I really enjoyed and will have a review up for that one soon, but that was all I was able to finish. I think that is pretty good still though, since I did at least finish one! I have three more left in that series to prepare for the 5th book, and there is still a good chunk of time left to accomplish that!
Anyways, just thought I'd write a mini wrap-up post for you all. Let me know how you ended up doing on the read-a-thon below in the comments!

#AYearAThon June - Rick Riordan | Update Day 2
Currently Reading:
- The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan
Number of Pages Read for Day 2: 100 pages
Total Pages Read: 200 pages
With my school work, I have only been able to tackle about 100 pages a day, which isn't too bad. I am hoping to read more today, because I am really enjoying it so far. I am not a huge fan of Jason so far and I hope that will change, but that is honestly, because I just miss Percy so much as a protagonist. How are you doing so far with your reading and which Rick Riordan book are you reading?

#AYearAThon June - Rick Riordan | Update Day 1
Currently Reading:
- The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan
Total Pages Read: 100 pages
I was reading CoHF yesterday and since that took up most of the day, I did not start the read-a-thon until late in the evening. I was in a bit of a book hangover after that book, so I did not read a whole lot of The Lost Hero, but it is nice to be reunited with members of Camp Half Blood so far.. and I can't wait to learn more about the new characters. I have work today and school work to do today, but I am hoping to read more of it today!
How much progress have you made so far?

#AYearAThon June Theme: Rick Riordan & TBR Post
Hi everyone. So I am sure that you all know by now, that I love read-a-thons a lot. They encourage me to read more and it honestly is a lot to fun to participate and meet follow bookish people. There is a group on goodreads #AYEARATHON and they host one read-a-thon, per month, with a different theme. I participated in last month's read-a-thon where the theme was catch up/finish series, and this months theme is Rick Riordan! :D I am really excited because, I had read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series last year and I loved it, and I can't wait to read his spin off series from that Heroes of Olympus and what better time to do this, then the June #AYEARATHON read-a-thon! ;)
It will run from JUNE 2ND TO JUNE 8TH and you can join the group for updates, and use the hashtag on twitter to interact with other people participating as well.
I am going to continue the theme of posting daily updates the next day to recap what I read the previous day and then a wrap-up post at the end. I am giving myself the goal of reading the four books in the series for that week and I really think that I can accomplish it (though TFiOS comes out that week.. so I could be coping with the feels from that). Anyways.. here are the books I plan to read and finish for the read-a-thon:

#AYearAThon Update Days 4-7 & Wrap Up
Hi everyone, so here is my update and wrap-up from last week's #AYearAThon where the theme was to finish/catch up on series. I am sad to say, I was only able to read three books last week because of my final papers and also, I was out a lot last week too. But this week starts the bout of books one, which I hope to get a lot of reading accomplished for. So here is what I ended up finishing!
Books Completed: - If I Stay by Gayle Forman
- Where She Went by Gayle Forman
- Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
Total Pages Read: 880 pages
#AYearAThon hosts a week read-a-thon once a month with a particular theme and this was my first time participating in it. The next theme is Rick Riordan, so that is definitely exciting because I have some books to read by him. I am going to try and participate in most of the #AYearAThon read-a-thons to come because it is a great way to narrow your reading list and get some reading done! Even though, I only read three books, I am still pretty proud of myself to finish a duo-logy by Forman and also, make some progress on the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy, which I do not want to end! I will be reading the final book in that trilogy after this week of bout of books because I don't think it is the right book to marathon, it is so detailed and I honestly want to savour it, lol!
How did you end up doing on the #AYearAThon read-a-thon for May? Will you be participating in the one next month? Let me know in the comments :)

#AYearAThon Update Days 1-3
Hi everyone, I have been so swamped lately, but I just wanted to quickly update you all on the fact that I am currently participating in another read-a-thon and it is called #AYearAThon which is hosted on goodreads and the theme this month is to finish/catch up on a series. It goes from May 5th to May 11th. Here is my progress from the last three days!
Currently Reading:- Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor
- If I Stay by Gayle Forman
- Where She Went by Gayle Forman
Total Pages Read: 494 pages
I started the If I Stay duo-logy right before the read-a-thon started, so I was able to finish both books just last night. I started them because of the release of the trailer. I really enjoyed the series and can't wait to pick up the next series by Forman. For the rest of the read-a-thon, I think I am going to focus primarily on finishing the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy and maybe start the Dustlands trilogy by Moira Young since I will be going to that signing on Monday with some friends.
How are you doing so far on the #AYearAThon read-a-thon?
