One week.
Private cabin.
Famous physicist.
Still an unrepentant slacker.
What’s the worst that could happen?
Mona’s meticulously planned allotment of relaxation is thrown into chaos by the unscheduled appearance of her older brother’s band of friends, including the one person she'd hoped to never face again. Abram still makes her feel entirely too much, which is one of the reasons she disappeared after their one week together. But now, trapped on a mountain of snow and things unspoken, Mona will have to find a way to coexist with Abram, chaos and all.

Laws of Physics is the second trilogy in the Hypothesis series; Laws of Physics parts 1 (MOTION) & 2 (SPACE) end with a cliffhanger.

Review:

This is the second book in the Laws of Physics story. If you want to check out my review for the first book in the series, please click here!

I feel like Penny Reid answered my concerns from my last review and gave me Abram's perspective!! To recap, the story follows Mona, who pretends to be her sister for six days, and in that time, she finds herself falling for her brother's friend, Abram. However, before anything can really happen (the last book killlled me with sexual tension, and they didn't even kiss!!), she switches back with her sister and leaves Abram never knowing the truth.

Fast forward to this book, which surprisingly takes place two years later. A lot has changed for both of them. Mona still finds herself hung up on Abram, and it appears that Abram went through a lot of changes himself (I'll leave that part spoiler-free). They are reunited for one week in a private cabin. Mona is determined to tell Abram the truth, but of course, he has figured it out. The sexual tension is even higher than the last book? I definitely felt like that meme where it's like NOW KISS!!!! I also feel like with the added perspective of Abram, and we got to see Mona being Mona, and not really Mona pretending to be Lisa, so you got to learn more about both of these characters. I really love how quirky Mona is. She appears cold to a lot of people, but as a famous physicist, I felt like she was just trying to process her emotions. I also just really love Abram as a character. He legit makes my my heart swoon. You'll just find yourself really rooting for both of them.

In addition, I really appreciated the side stories with Abram's music partner, Kaitlyn, and Mona's friend, Allyn. Both were such nice additions to the overall story. Of course, this one also ends on a cliffhanger, so buckle up. I'm already eagerly anticipating the next one because I really want these two to get their HEA.

Disclaimer: I received an ARC of this book (via Penny Reid and Social Butterfly PR) in exchange for participation in the release blitz and blog tour. All opinions are my own.
